PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press forming method by which cracks or the like are difficult to generate in the welded part when performing press forming. SOLUTION: This press forming method is a method for press-forming a press base stock in which a plurality of metallic sheets are welded. In this press forming method, a part where the metallic sheets 11, 12 are overlapped is pressurized and energized by pressing electrodes 13, 14 against from the side of the metallic sheet 11 on one side. Then, by indenting the surface on the side of the metallic steel 11 where the electrodes 13, 14 are pressed against and projecting the back surface of the metallic sheet, the press base stock 10 for press-forming which welds metallic sheets 11, 12 is pressed.
