PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest core which can be easily and securely assembled with a stay in a surface leather by groping. SOLUTION: An outer edge rib 19 is formed on the outer circumference edge of the core main body 18 of a headrest core 14. A reinforcing rib 20 is formed inside the outer edge rib 19. An upper engagement part 21 which can be attached to an upper end bridging part 13a of a stay 13 is formed on the top side of the outer edge rib 19. A pair of lower engagement parts 23 which can be attached to a leg 13b of the stay 13 and are opened backward is formed in the lower parts of both the sides of the rear surface of the core main body 18. A slanted guide surface 24 for guiding the upper end bridging part 13a of the stay 13 toward the upper engagement part 21 is formed on the reinforcing rib 20.
