摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wasteful power consumption without emitting display light for an unnecessarily long time in the electronic equipment of a configuration where a key board whose key top comprises phosphorescent materials and a display part can be folded up. <P>SOLUTION: A current amount of charge of the phosphorescent materials is calculated according to an amount of charge of light energy excitation with respect to the phosphorescent materials in a key input part under a PC open use state corresponding to illuminance around a PC detected by a illuminance detection part 15a and an amount of charge subtracted by the light emission, and recorded in a charge amount storage part 22A. When it is determined that the illuminance around the PC at the time the PC starts to be used is below visible minimum illuminance in the key input part, a necessary amount of charge of the phosphorescent materials by which the key input part is viewable is calculated. A time for light charge for obtaining the amount of light charge in accordance with the difference in amounts of charges is calculated when the amount of charge at present is smaller than the necessary amount of charge.
