PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the weight of a suspension type mounting apparatus from being directly loaded to a wearer and to smoothly follow up the motion of the head of the wearer in the suspension type mounting apparatus for mounting a head-mounted device such as a head-mounted video display device on the head of the user. SOLUTION: In order to obtain three degrees of freedom to incline a head-mounted device 1 in any arbitrary direction in the air, three rotary axes X, Y, Z are constituted so as to pass these three rotary axes through almost the center G of gravity of the head-mounted device 1. The direction of one rotary axis Z of the three rotary axes is approximately coincident with a perpendicular direction at all the time. The head-mounted device 1 is suspended by a strap-like body 14 so as to be vertically movable while being balanced with the weight of the head-mounted device 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
