PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorant compound having excellent thermal stability and used for phase-changing inks. SOLUTION: This colorant compound has a structural formula represented by the figure, wherein, R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, and R<SB>3</SB>are each independently H, an alkyl, an arylalkyl, or an alkylaryl, the total number of carbon atoms and heterogeneous atoms in R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, and R<SB>3</SB>, excluding atoms contained in substituents, being at least about 18; M is a metal atom; each A, each E and each G are independently substituents on the phenyl or pyrazole ring, respectively; G may additionally be H; (m) is an integer of 0, 1, or 2; (p) is an integer of 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; J is (i) H, (ii) an alkyl, (iii) an aryl, (iv) an arylalkyl, or (v) an alkylaryl; (n) is an integer of 1, 2 or 3.
