PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality by making DCC correction, while taking the motion speed and the complexity of the image to be displayed into consideration, and reducing the blurring phenomenon of the image affected by these motion speed and complexity. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixels; an image signal modifier comparing a previous image signal with a current image signal, modifying the current image signal based on the comparison result to generate a first modified image signal, calculating the average modified value for a reference pixel in a reference frame, and modifying the first modified image signal into a second modified image signal, based on the average modified value; and a data driver supplying a data voltage, corresponding to the second modified image signal from the image signal modifier to the pixel. The average modified value is the average of the differences among the current image signal and first modified image signal for the reference pixel, and the weighted area is divided according to the motion speed and complexity of the image.
