PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soilborne disease controlling agent preventing plant diseases caused by phytopathogenic bacteria belonging to genus Streptomyces, represented by potato common scab and sweet potato damping-off and increasing yields of crops, and to provide a method for controlling the soilborne diseases. SOLUTION: A combination of a genus Bacillus bacterium having very high antagonistic property against phytopathogenic bacteria belonging to genus Streptomyces with an unfermented organic compound is administered to the soil where plants grow.
