<p>Fiber composite articles, especially tension or traction struts, comprise a core (2) with curved edges (4, 5). These surround the inner peripheries of longitudinal bores (12, 13) whose outer edges are enclosed by a peripheral flocked fiber composite strip (18). Independent claims are included for: (A) a method for producing the articles comprising forming a stack of cores by feeding their curved ends over tubular supports, passing a peripheral fiber composite over the cores and supports, impregnating and hardening the composite and removing the product from the supports, e.g. by cooling and cutting; (B) use of the articles as connectors, tension or traction struts, suspended components or control arms in aircraft or technology and in vehicles; (C) use of the articles as bearings for landing flaps in aircraft; and (D) aircraft fitted with the articles as landing flap bearings,.</p> |
