A connector assembly is provided to prevent external particles from remaining between a header contact portion of a header and a socket contact portion of a socket when the header contact portion and the socket contact portion are contacted with each other, thereby improving the contact reliability by forming a concave portion on one of the header contact portion and the socket contact portion. A connector assembly comprises a header(1) and a socket(2). The header has a header contact member(4) including the first header contact portion(41) and the second header contact portion(42). The socket(2) has a socket contact member(6) including the first socket contact portion(64) and the second socket contact portion(66). The first socket contact portion(64) has the first protrusion(64a), and the first header contact portion(41) has the second protrusion(41a). The first protrusion(64a) and the second protrusion(41a) constitute a lock mechanism when the header is inserted into the socket. A concave portion(42a) is formed in a surface of the second header contact portion, which is contacted with the second socket contact portion. When the second header contact portion and the second socket contact portion are contacted with each other, a gap is formed between the second socket contact portion and an inner surface of the concave portion.
