A structure for fixing a lifter of a drum type washing machine is provided to easily separate the lifter without disassembling a drum by fixing the lifter with a snap pin without screw at the front and rear ends of the lifter. A structure for fixing a lifter of a drum type washing machine includes a flange(112) and a snap pin(120). The flange is formed at a lower portion of the lifter lifting laundry articles by the rotation of a drum. The flange is provided in the interior of the drum so as to be inserted into the snap pin by pressing the flange. The drum has a groove into which the flange formed on a side surface of the lifter is inserted. The groove is formed by a bending plate protruded in the interior of the drum. The bending plate is formed in the lengthwise direction of the drum. A side of the lifter is restricted by the groove. The flange is also restricted by the groove.
