Pedestrian protection assembly

The device has a front cover (5) movable in a protection position. One side of a laminar component (11) is fixed within the area of a rear edge (3) of the front cover (5), and an opposite side of the laminar component is fixed in the region of the lower edge of a wind screen (9) such that the laminar component is bent in a non-active position between its fixing positions. The laminar component bridges and tightens the gap between the rear edge of the front cover and the windscreen during raising of the front cover. The laminar component is designed by using a tear-proof fabric.
