An apparatus for inspecting a display panel is provided to make it possible to vary the size of a support frame according to size of the display panel, thereby achieving a compact inspection apparatus, by independently moving respective side members of the frame in width directions of the side members. An apparatus for inspecting a display panel comprises a square frame(20) for supporting the edge of the display panel and a driving unit(62) for driving the square frame. The square frame has a pair of horizontal side members(36a,36b) and a pair of vertical side members(38a,38b), wherein each of the side members is movable in a length direction and a width direction. The driving unit includes drivers(64) and movement converters(66). Each of the drivers is installed along the length direction of each side member, wherein the driver outputs a driving force in the length direction of the side member. Each of the movement converters is installed between each driver and each side member. The movement converter converts the driving force of the driver into a driving force in the width direction of corresponding side member. |
