<p>Yarn cross-winding devices associated with a common controller for winding predetermined lengths of yarns each include a yarn winding drum driving the bobbin and arranged as a pulse generator providing a number of signals proportional to the number of revolutions, the drums being drive independently and associated with yarn guide detectors, multi-stage selector switches and multi-stage ring counters interconnected with the selector switches and a common yarn length setting device controlling the selector switches of each drum. Gate circuits controlled by the output potential of the detectors apply the pulse generator outputs to the first stage of the ring counter such that when there is a coincidence between the value set in the selector switch and the count value in the ring counter the bobbin brake is applied in dependence on an emitted signal.</p> |
