CHIPSET SECURITY OFFLOAD ENGINE

摘要

A security engine for securely off-loading a chipset is provided to enable a bridge to offload an encryption service to the CPU from the bridge by including the bridge in the security engine. The CPU(120) generates clear text data corresponding to digital contents(160). The bridge(110) is combined with the CPU and receives the clear text data. A memory(130) and a GPU(Graphic Processing Unit)(140) are combined with the bridge. The security engine(112) arranged in the bridge provides the encryption service for protecting the digital contents by encrypting and transmitting the clear text data through the bridge via a non-secured data route. The bridge protects a captured video signal by receiving and encrypting the video signal.
