A mechanical fastening device of reinforcing bars using an opening-and-closing type socket is provided to perform connecting work quickly and strongly and to shorten working hours by making two sides of a socket coupled with a hinge, adhered closely to a reinforcing bar connection when applying external force using a compressor and fastened on the reinforcing bar connection strongly using a fastener. The invention relates to a mechanical fastening device of reinforcing bars using an opening-and-closing type socket for clamping reinforcing bars(2) used as a reinforcement member to increase resistance to tension, vibration and impact of a concrete structure by housing a reinforcing bar connection where the ends of the reinforcing bars set opposite each other and fastening with each other on the outside, which includes a horn-shaped socket(10) coupled with a hinge(11) and provided with housing grooves(12) to house ribs(3) of the reinforcing bar to prevent the movement of the reinforcing bar on two sides, housings(13) and projections(14) to engage with each other and to cover up more than half of the reinforcing bar with two pieces(10a,10b) on the other two sides, and projecting ribs(15) to increase adhesive strength with concrete on the outer circumferential surface, and a fastener(20) such as a bolt and a nut coupled to a through hole(16) of the projection to fasten the socket to the reinforcing bar connection strongly.
