An orodispersible pharmaceutical composition for oromucosal or sublingual administration of agomelatine is provided to reduce stimulation, and deliver active components through the oromucosal or sublingual pathway without local anaesthetic agents or other pharmacological active compounds. The coated solid orodispersible pharmaceutical composition for oromucosal or sublingual administration of agomelatine comprises a central core or central layer containing agomelatine and excipients enabling to obtain an orodispersible formulation, and an orodispersible coating, wherein the central core or central layer comprises a diluent conferring orodispersible property which contains granules produced by co-atomization of lactose and starch; and the orodispersible coating contains a desensitizing agent such as citric acid.
