An aerial navigation apparatus and a method thereof are provided to increase user convenience by enabling selection of an intermediate point and simulation of a flight. A GPS(Global Positioning System) communicating unit(210) calculates the present position coordinate through communication with GPS satellites. A screen display unit(230) displays the present position information. A route designating unit(250) sets a flight route by adding or deleting an intermediate point which is searched according to a control signal. A control unit(260) controls the screen display unit to display map information and position information in accordance with the calculated position coordinates. The map information and route information are stored in a storing unit(270).
