An apparatus for controlling a thermostat in a refrigerator is provided to automatically maintain an optimal indoor temperature by automatically turning on/off a switch according to a temperature set in a controlling unit. An apparatus for controlling a thermostat(100) in a refrigerator includes a resistance heater(200), a switch(300), and an adjusting knob(400). The switch is electrically connected with the resistance heater, selectively operates the resistance heater, and turns on/off power supplied into the resistance heater. The adjusting knob is electrically connected with the switch, controls on/off of the switch, is placed at one side of the refrigerator, and is selectively operated by a user. The switch is an electric switch, interlocked with a temperature detecting sensor electrically connected with a controlling unit, and operates according to a temperature set by a controlling unit.
