A hydrophilic coating solution composition for strengthening corrugating medium is provided to improve the water resistance and quality of a corrugating board, to keep the compressive strength constant regardless of a temperature or humidity and to offer high strength for supporting a weight of a product. The hydrophilic coating solution composition for strengthening a corrugating medium, comprises a random terpolymer represented by the formula (1), which is produced by radical polymerization of acrylamide, acrylic acid and acrylonitrile monomers, or a random terpolymer represented by the formula (2), which is produced by radical polymerization of acrylamide, acrylic acid and cationic acrylic monomers. In the formulae (1) and (2), l+m+n=1 and R is -CH3. In the composition, the random terpolymer of the formula (1) is comprised of acrylamide, acrylic acid and acrylonitrile monomers in a molar ratio of 7-8.5:0.5-1:0-0.5, and the random terpolymer of the formula (2) is comprised of acrylamide, acrylic acid and cationic acrylic monomers in a molar ratio of 7-8.5:0.5-1:0.5-2. |
