<p>7-Aminocephalosporanic acid derivs. of the general formula:- (A) where R1, R2 = alkoxy, alkyl-S, acyloxy, acyl, carboxylalkyl, CONH2, alkyl, HO, amino, substd,-amino, H, halogen R3 = H(except when R1 = H), alkyl, HO-alkyl, N-(HO-alkyl)-carbamoyl, alkanoyloxy x = 1,2 (alkyl is not > 4C) when x = 2 the groups R3 need not be the same when R2 is other than H, then R1 and R2 may be the same or different. together with pharmaceutical preparations contng. them. Improved antibacterial activity against Gram positive and Gram negative organisms compared with the cpd. in which R1 = R2 = R3 = H and also resist the action of penicillinase.</p> |
