PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing noise generated corresponding to the frequency of an AC bias when the AC bias is applied to a charging roller in order to uniformly electrify a photoreceptor surface. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus which has a photoreceptor 1 and an electrifying member 2a arranged opposite the photoreceptor 1 and imparting electric charges to the surface of the photoreceptor 1 and applies the AC bias to the electrifying member 2a is provided with an elastic body 10 for noise prevention which abuts against the surface of the photoreceptor 1 upstream from the electrifying member 2a in the rotating direction of the photoreceptor 1. The elastic body 10 for noise prevention is a blade made of an elastomer and arranged to abut against the surface of the photoreceptor 1 in a trading manner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
