PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriately vehicle-to-vehicle communications even when two or more vehicles exist ahead. SOLUTION: A vehicle-to-vehicle communication device 1 comprises: a memory 22 for storing communication wavelengths assigned to each vehicle and predetermined communication conditions to each communication wavelength; a transmitter-receiver 14 for the front etc. for communicating with other vehicle-to-vehicle communication devices mounted in other vehicles existing in the circumference; and a communication control unit 26. Further, the communication control unit 26 refers to the stored contents of the memory 22 and controls transmitter-receivers 14, 16, 18 and 20 based on the communication conditions corresponding to the communication wavelength assigned to own vehicle stored by the memory 22 so as to transmit a variety of information to vehicle-to-vehicle communication devices existing within other safe distance between cars, while receiving the same kind of information transmitted from other vehicle-to-vehicle communication devices by controlling the transmitter-receivers 14, 16, 18 and 20 based on the communication conditions corresponding to the communication wavelengths assigned to other circumferential vehicles stored by the memory 22.
