PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding portable terminal that can be supported strongly without being damaged when external pressure operates in a direction for opening further from a usage state where upper and lower casings are open. SOLUTION: The folding portable terminal is attached so that one surface 20a of upper-casing-side fittings 20 comes into contact with one surface 30b of a hinge fixing component 30, and the other surface 20b of a projection 21 in the upper-casing-side fittings 20 comes into contact with the other surface 30a of the hinge fixing component 30, thus increasing the contact area between the upper-casing-side fittings 20 and the hinge fixing component 30, and dispersing force to the hinge fixing component 30. First engagement means 22a, 22b of the projection 21 are engaged with second engagement means 31a, 31b of the hinge fixing component 30 while the projection 21 of the upper-casing-side fittings 20 is in contact with the hinge fixing component 30, thus maintaining the contact state between the upper-casing-side fittings 20 and the hinge fixing component 30, and hence supporting the usage state strongly even if external pressure operates in the direction for opening the upper and lower casings 3, 2 further from the usage state, where the upper and lower casings are open.
