PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall unit capable of reasonably securing lighting and ventilation while securing the strength of blocks and capable of being constructed while a dweller lives therein. SOLUTION: A plurality of wall units 1 are disposed in an opening portion 4 demarcated by columns 2 and beams 3 to form an earthquake-resisting wall 5. The wall unit comprises a precast concrete octagonal block 6 having the outer profile formed on and inside an octagonal frame part 6a and having a diagonal connection part 6b connecting a pair of facing diagonal sides w to each other, hole parts 7 formed through the other pair of facing diagonal sides of the frame part, a hollow part 8 formed through the diagonal connection part to the frame part and communicating with the hole part of the other adjacent octagonal block, a steel bar 9 for connection inserted into the hollow part and inserted into the hole part of the other adjacent octagonal block, and a fastening member 10 fastened to the steel bar for connection and fastening the adjacent octagonal blocks to each other.
