METHOD FOR PRODUCING ANTIBODY TO CELL SURFACE MOLECULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antibody applicable to prevention or therapy of antibody-mediated diseases in patients. SOLUTION: A composition for preventing or treating antibody-mediated diseases in patients, containing a monoclonal antibody able to bond to human CD40 antigen positioning on human B cell surface in an amount effective for the treatment is provided. The composition is used in a method including a process for administering the composition in a pharmaceutically acceptable recipient to patients requiring the treatment and proliferation or differentiation of the B cells is prevented by bonding the antibody to the CD40 antigen.
