<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure inexpensive and reliable imaging when the patient is lying. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile X-ray imaging system has a cart (1), on which a link arm (2) is arranged which carries the X-ray source (4) at its free end (3). On the cart (1), an image evaluation device (5) is arranged into which an image storage medium (6) can be inserted.
