<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a heat treatment product of mesocarbon globule having a higher crystallinity from which a negative electrode material having to some extent high discharge capacity and superior rapid charge and discharge characteristics can be obtained, when used as a negative electrode of lithium ion secondary battery for an electric tool and a hybrid electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This is the manufacturing method of a negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery in which a mesocarbon globule or its granule having 10-60 wt.% of a quinoline soluble fraction is heat treated at temperatures of higher than 1,500°C and lower than 2,500°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
