A cell-phone main body is provided to strengthen copyright protection of data recorded on a panel-changeable information holding member. In this cell-phone main body, a reader (123) detects detachment or attachment of the panel by poling, reads out detachable panel data from an RFID tag (112) when a panel is put on a main body (120) and stores the data in memory (212). A function setting section (251) sets functions based on the panel data read out by the reader (123). A function suppressing section (252) suppresses the function set by the function setting section (251) when the reader (123) detects that the detachable panel is removed from the main body (120).
