In a single-lens reflex digital camera, an imaging apparatus is provided which can display, on an image-display-usage liquid crystal monitor, images in accordance with aperture values used during the actual imaging. In an aperture setting mode, a quick return mirror (4) is caused to withdraw from an optical path, thereby causing a light to be incident upon an imaging sensor (11). Then, the imaging optical system is controlled and driven to actual aperture states, and images data acquired by the imaging sensor (11) are displayed on an image-display-usage liquid crystal monitor (16), whereby a plurality of images in accordance with the aperture values used during the actual imaging, that is, actual-aperture live view images can be simultaneously displayed on the image-display-usage liquid crystal monitor (16). In this way, images having different depths of field can be readily compared with each other, and images having different depths of field can be simultaneously imaged.
|
