PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver which enables a user to perform collation with the action pattern of the user himself/herself and confirm at what time and in any place a reception quality state is excellent when a stored reception quality history is displayed, and a reception quality prediction method. SOLUTION: A portable television terminal 1 comprises: a tuning part 2; a tuner 3; an antenna 4; a timer 5 for managing the time of reception; a reception quality history management part 6 for managing the reception quality history; a storage device 7 for storing the reception quality history and a program; a viewing/recording quality prediction part 8 for predicting present or future viewing/recording quality from the reception quality history and the present time; a display part 9 for displaying a predicted result or the reception quality history or a television program; and a sound part 10.
