PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find a web page carrying retrieve desired information in a short time. SOLUTION: A web retrieval support server 11 makes a client 17 input a retrieval objective by displaying a retrieval screen 31 to the client 17, and executes retrieval processing by pressing a retrieval request button. The web retrieval support server 11 displays retrieved results on a retrieved results list screen 32 in a sequence of retrieved results on the basis of the received retrieval objective and a web evaluation file 12 retained in a database. Page numbers, evaluated values, and summary information are displayed on the retrieved results list screen 32, and a web page 33 and an evaluation screen 34 are displayed on the basis of a display request of the client 17 for a specific web page from the retrieved results list screen 32. the client compares the contents of the web page 33, and enters evaluated contents through the evaluation screen 34 as to whether or not the retrieved results are useful to the client.
