PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container surely retaining a lid body not only in a fully closed state but also in a fully opened state, being quickly opened/closed in a small force, and preventing damage, breaking and the like for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This container is provided with: a container body 1, a lid body 3, and a hinge means 4 rotationally connecting the container body 1 to the lid body 3. The hinge means 4 comprises a first hinge part 21 non-rotationally fixed to the container body 1, a second hinge part 22 non-rotationally fixed to the lid body 3 and relatively rotationally connected to the first hinge part 21, a movable part 24 slidably disposed in the first hinge part 21, and a coil spring elastically energizing the movable part 24 toward the second hinge part 22. The second hinge part 22 and the movable part 24 have opposing faces opposed to each other, and one opposing face is projectingly provided with a plurality of semispherical projection parts, while the other opposing face is formed with a plurality of recess parts where the respective projection parts are positioned in closed state and opened state.
