PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an air conditioner capable of detecting a connection state between a connector housing, and a connector of a humidity sensor mounted on a circuit board even when an inexpensive humidity sensor is used. SOLUTION: The controller 100 for the air conditioner is characterized by that it is provided with the first circuit board 1 mounted with a microcomputer 2, a humidity sensor element 7 detecting relative humidity of a room, and outputting a pulse voltage including zero volts, a room temperature sensor 5 comprised of a resistance component, and outputting a voltage smaller than an inputted power supply voltage and larger than zero volts, the connector 3A and the connector housing 3B shared by the humidity sensor element 7 and the room temperature sensor 5, and connected them to the first circuit board 1, and a malfunction determining part provided in the microcomputer 2, and determining that the connector 3A and the connector housing 3B are disconnected when zero volts is inputted from the room temperature sensor 5.
