PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device, a lighting apparatus and a lighting system all of which is capable of reducing stress on discharge lamp loads and circuit components by suppressing a variation of properties in starting after preheating and even in normally lighting operation as well as solving a variation of currents flowing during preheating. SOLUTION: A discharge lamp lighting device turns an electric discharge lamp LA on by a high frequency output supplied by an inverter circuit 1 through an LC-resonance circuit 2, and has at least three lighting modes of a preheat mode for warming discharge lamp filaments ft1, ft2 before the lighting start of the discharge lamp LA, a starting up mode for applying a dischargeable voltage on both terminals of the discharge lamp LA, and a lighting mode for keeping a predetermined output of the discharge lamp after lighting. The device includes a correction control means (frequency correcting circuit 8) which detects a state of the LC-resonance circuit 2 before the preheat mode and corrects properties in preheating depending on the detected state, and further includes a transmitting means (a memory circuit 9 for storing a property correcting state at the warming up time) which stores the property correcting state in the preheating and transmits it to a starting up mode or a lighting mode.
