PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform reactor core design work that reflects restriction conditions that should be considered, at building of design and planning, when designing a reactor core replacement reactor core. SOLUTION: A supporting system for nuclear reactor core design comprises a reactor core characteristics data storage means 2 for storing evaluation values, such as determination of the conditions in the design of a reactor core; a condition determination means 3 for selecting fuel bundle, that does not satisfy the determination conditions of the reactor core design plan; a fuel arrangement data storage means 4 for storing the results of the arrangement of fuel in the past operation cycles; an arrangement history determination means 5 for creating fuel arrangement history information for each fuel bundle; a fuel characteristics data storage means 6 for storing bundle reactivity information, or the like; a display means 8 for displaying a reactor stoppage margin, fuel arrangement history information, and the like on an arrangement map; an instruction means 9 for instructing the selection of a specific fuel bundle in display images; and a fuel selection means 7 for searching fuel bundle that becomes a replacement candidate from the fuel characteristics data storage means, when there is fuel bundle that does not satisfy the determination conditions.
