PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form for medical application of noble metals having an effect to kill microbes. SOLUTION: A wound dressing and an antimicrobial composition are provided. The wound dressing includes a carbonaceous material, a noble metal adhered to the carbonaceous material and a flexible substrate layer selected as needed. The carbonaceous material has a state of a powder, granule, fiber and/or thin piece, and is selected from the group consisting of active carbon, graphite, carbon and their combination The noble metal is selected from the group consisting of silver, gold, palladium, platinum, copper, zinc and their combination.
