A display device is provided with a connecting line, which is arranged corresponding to each of scanning lines of a display panel and is connected to a light emitting element driving circuit for each scanning line; a ramp voltage generating section for generating a ramp voltage which changes the emission status of the light emitting element by relatively changing the control electrode voltage of a driving transistor to the voltages of other electrodes of the driving transistor; and a ramp voltage driver for supplying the connecting line with the ramp voltage for each scanning line, corresponding to scanning of the scanning line.
