<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus such as a projector for correcting trapezoidal distortion in a horizontal direction at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The projector reads lines of an image before correction in the unit of blocks from a DRAM in an oblique direction and stores the result to a cache memory. A cache control circuit discriminates whether target block data are stored in the cache memory in response to a request from a keystone correction circuit. When the target block data are stored in the cache memory as a result, the cache control circuit reads the block data from the cache memory, but when no target block data are stored in the cache memory on the other hand, the cache control reads the target block data from the DRAM. Then the keystone correction circuit interpolates pixel values of the image after the correction by using the block data outputted from the cache control circuit and a prescribed interpolation filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
