<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with power-saving function which performs sure and efficient operations. <P>SOLUTION: This device including a communication interface intermediating data communication, which receives image data through the communication interface and forms an image based on the received image data received, comprises: a power supply part 53 supplying power in either one power supply mode of an operation mode for supplying a power necessary for forming the image or a power-saving mode supplying a standby power; a state monitoring part 57 monitoring the connecting state and non-connecting state of the communication interface; and a mode switching part 58 changing, when either of change from non-connecting state to connecting state and change from connecting state to non-connecting state is detected in the state monitoring part 57 while the power supply part 53 is in the power-saving mode, the power supply mode to the operation mode in response to the change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
