<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus and a receiving method for using oscillators whose number is relatively smaller than the number of received frequency bands, setting arbitrary channels in received frequency bands and receiving the channels at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: The receiving apparatus 100 includes: first and second oscillators 131, 132 for generating oscillation signals in the same frequency band; a 1/8 frequency divider 133; 1/6 frequency divider 134; mixers 135, 136; and a 1/2 frequency divider 139. A receiving antenna 110 receives RF signals in a plurality of frequency bands, an LNA 111 amplifies the RF signals, and outputs the amplified RF signals to RF circuits 121-1 to 121-3. The RF circuits 121-1 to 121-3 performs a wireless signal processing to the RF signal from the receiving antenna 110. The demodulators 122-1 to 122-3 apply frequency conversion to the RF signals after radio signal processing into a baseband frequency band on the basis of the oscillated signals supplied from the oscillation circuits to demodulate the RF signals.
