<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver for moving an object precisely in which impact strength is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: A friction member 4 is made to friction engage with an electromechanical transducer 2 such that it can move along the longitudinal direction L thereof. Since a conventional drive friction member is not required, positional gap due to bonding of the drive friction member and the electromechanical transducer 2 is eliminated. Consequently, the friction member 4 or an object fixed thereto can be moved precisely. Furthermore, risk of damage at a joint is eliminated because conventional joint between the drive member and the electromechanical transducer 2 is eliminated. As a result, impact strength can be enhanced and the cost can be reduced because the number of components is decreased. Since the electromechanical transducer 2 also serves as a conventional drive friction member, the driver can be miniaturized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
