<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide laser welding equipment that can periodically automatically clean the cover for covering a workpiece without stopping its operation for the cleaning and that, after automatically checking the cleaning and confirming it, can again automatically resume welding. <P>SOLUTION: The laser welding equipment 1 is composed of: a laser section 2 for emitting a laser beam; a plurality of workpiece holders 3 that hold and rotate a workpiece 11 to be welded; the cover 4 for covering around the welding zone of the workpiece 11; a gas supply section 5 for jetting a covering gas between the cover 4 and the workpiece 11; and a transporting section 6 for transporting the work holders 3.
