PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which can obtain desired image quality and sense of gloss by forming a highly precise image even in the case of recording various kinds of recording media with the use of ink cured by irradiation of active energy rays. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder is equipped with a recording head 13 which delivers the ink cured by irradiation of the active energy rays onto the recording medium 2, an irradiation device 14 which irradiates the delivered ink with the active energy rays, a moving mechanism which moves at least one of the recording medium 2 and the recording head 13, and a controlling part 20 which controls the moving mechanism 7 to shorten a time after the ink is hit against the recording medium 2 before the ink is irradiated with the active energy rays when a maximum liquid absorption amount of the recording medium 2 or a liquid absorption amount a fixed time later exceeds a threshold value, and at the same time which controls the recording head 13 to reduce an amount of the ink delivered.
