<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forecast printout time with high precision and thereby, make the reliability of the forecast time easily determinable. <P>SOLUTION: This imaging device comprises an output time forecast means which forecasts time required for printing out image data, an output time measuring means which measures time to be spent from the start of printing the image data to its completion, when the image data are actually printed, and a forecast time display means which displays the output time to be forecast by the output time forecast means in conjunction with the image data. The output time forecast means includes time which is measured by the output time measuring means as an actual result value in the output time forecast results, in case the image data has ever been printed out even only once.
