<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and rationalize a pixel circuit provided with a function of canceling dispersion in the threshold voltage of a drive transistor. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel capacitor C1 is connected between a gate G and a source S of the drive transistor T5; a light emitting element EL is connected between the source S and a cathode potential Vcat; a sampling transistor T1 is connected between the gate G and a signal line SL; a switching transistor T4 is connected between a drain D and a power source Vcc, and another switching transistor T2 is connected between the source S and the signal line SL. The two switching transistors T2, T4 are driven before a video signal Vsig is sampled in a pixel capacitor C1 to detect the threshold voltage of the drive transistor T5 and write the threshold voltage in the pixel capacitor C1, so that the dependency of an output current on the threshold voltage is corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
