A thin walled tube is disclosed consisting essentially of a precipitation hardenable stainless steel and having a ratio, defined as outer tube circumference C divided by p times the square of the tube wall thickness w, of 90-350. The thin walled tube is highly suitable for use in sport appliance or furniture where weight and mechanical properties are of high importance.
