The deflector has a mounting plate (10) with a mounting point (P) for mounting the deflector at an interior structure of a motor vehicle. A milling side rail (20) is connected with the mounting plate by using arms, and has a surface with a section (24a). The side rail is rotatably fastened to the mounting plate about a side rail axis (W - W). The side rail is pivoted about the axis at a predetermined angle upon exceeding a boundary force of a force transmission of a web belt, so that an operating condition is reached, in which another section of the surface points towards the point (P).
