<p>Disclosed is a novel method for production of a protein having a Gla residue. The method is characterized by producing a protein having a Gla residue using a transgenic fowl, wherein the transgenic fowl is prepared by infecting the heart or blood vessel formed in an embryo of a fowl in the initial stage of embryo development with a retrovirus vector having a foreign gene by microinjection and hatching the embryo.</p>
