<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing black matrix of a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the black matrix of the color filter includes a stage of forming a black matrix layer of a hydrophobic organic material on one surface of a transparent substrate, a stage of forming a black matrix by patterning the black matrix layer, and a stage of making side surfaces of the black matrix hydrophilic by irradiating the other surface of the transparent substrate with ultraviolet rays while heating the black matrix. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
