PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe sole which allows to smoothly drain water or the like remained in insole after washing or an autoclave treatment, and also to provide shoes using this sole. SOLUTION: The shoe sole has a bottom plate on the reverse face of which a contact body to come in contact with the floor is provided and, wherein the outer circumference of the bottom plate is provided with a surrounding wall erected upward, inside the surrounding wall is provided with a plurality of projected bodies which are erected upward. The surrounding wall and the projected bodies are provided with a supporting face holding the shoe uppers that are composed of a vamp, an insole, etc., constituting an instep part to put a foot in. When the uppers are mounted thereon, the upper face is nearly closed, with a plurality of small spaces formed inside.
